First distillation, cultivated in

Eucalyptus is best known for its use to ease respiratory congestion. It has also been traditionally used to ease muscle and joint aches, most often in a blend with other oils in a massage base by stimulating the circulation of blood to affected areas. Many find eucalyptus to be mentally stimulating -- though we prefer peppermint for this effect. |

Lavender oils are traditionally held to be antibacterial and anti-fungal, and many use them topically for these effects. Most often, lavender is used for its calming effect, and it's lovely as an addition to the bath. Add Lavender EO 1/2 oz. to Shopping Cart $5.00 |

Lemongrass works well in simple skin toning blends, and in air-freshening blends. It works especially well in a diffuser -- a drop on a light ring will fill the room with scent. If you choose to use it in skin applications, be sure to use it at .025% or less -- more and you'll risk irritation. Note -- we typically use this at no more than .025% in soap, and that's plenty! |

Sensual, sweet, pungent, and earthy -- this is one of the nicest Patchouli's we've found. |

Reputed to be antibacterial and antifungal, tea tree oil has become popular in blends for foot creams, acne treatment, and sports rubs. |

If you're looking for a calming, somewhat
sedating scent, this is it. A bit sweet, and quite strong, vetiver works
well as a pulse point oil (blended with jojoba) or when diffused. Vetiver
is an aromatic grass, and the essential oil is derived from the roots that
are rich in a volatile oil known as the "oil of tranquility" in
South Asia. Vetiver has a cooling and soothing action. It is also a
stimulant. Ayurvedic physicians often prescribe it as a tonic and headache
remedy. In the summer months, it is common practice in India to keep roots
permanently soaking in drinking water for a refreshing, aromatic drink.
Sedative and antiseptic. |

Known in certain circles as the menopause oil, clary sage is balancing, and some report it eases the symptoms of menopause, menses, and PMS. |

A deep, soft, sweet-woody balsamic scent. Used in ritual, skin care for irritated skin, and a mainstay in perfumery. We're looking at replacing this wild-harvested oil with a cultivated oil from another species of the tree developed in Australia - - we're testing it, and another cultivated Indian Santalum album oil, now and we'll let you know, soon. It's our hope to be able to use the cultivated oil, as we fear that the overharvesting of Mysore Sandalwood trees in India may lead to their extinction. PLEASE NOTE: THIS OIL COMES IN OUR 1/3 OZ. BOTTLE WITH A GLASS ROD. Not currently available |

A touch more fruity than peppermint, lighter and not as bright. Absolutely the loveliest spearmint I've ever come across. Not available at this time
